The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is an engaging and popular handset which features a wide array of useful functionality. This particular smart phone is powered by a dual core 1.2 GHz processor and the ice cream sandwich version of the android operating system, with and upgradable option. The unit measures 135 mm x 67 mm wide whilst being a millimetres thick and weighing 135 g in weight.
The unit comes with a 4.65 inch super AMOLED capacitive display screen which offers multi-touch touch screen capability and comes with an oleophobic coating. The screen operates at a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and is able to accurately display up to 16 million colours, meaning that imagery is displayed in impressive fashion. The unit comes with ring and vibration alert options, loudspeaker, 3.5 mm Jack as well as an internal memory capacity of 16 GB. In terms of sensors the unit provides accelerometer, proximity, barometer gyro sensor is as well as a compass.
High-speed Internet access is provided with speeds of up to 21 Mbps available through its own 3G connection whilst also offering Wi Fi access in addition to the ability to create its own Wi Fi hotspot. The unit also comes in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus White version that combines the usual Nokia styling with an effective and appealing colour variant.
