FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) ? Jury selection issues will be discussed at a pretrial hearing for the Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage.
Maj. Nidal Hasan's attorneys and Army prosecutors Friday will discuss what questions to include on a questionnaire that may be sent to prospective jurors.
The court-martial is to start Aug. 20 on the Texas Army post.
Hasan faces the death penalty if convicted of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in the November 2009 shootings.
Military authorities initially decided that the jury pool would be from Fort Sill, Okla.
But the judge has said that after that fact was publicized, authorities decided to bring in potential jurors from several Army posts ? including Fort Hood.
